Default pwnage tool

Hi there,

I did all the 22 steps but then i got the funny screen after iphone restarted. I also got asked to put in the orginal SIM card for activation otherwise i was getting the emergency call only option.

Does that mean the pwnage cannot unlock iphone 3G with SW ver 2.2?

Is there anything i forgot?

Hey lupex,
the soft unlock for iPhone 3G isn't available yet. You can only jailbreak your iPhone 3G at this stage. So if you're trying to add a different SIM then unfortunately that won't work.

I tried this with osx 10.5.6 plus itunes 8 and it will not recognize my 2g phone.
When the box comes up to choose a restore file, there are three to choose from.
I choose the last. How do I know which is the right one (obviously the last choice is not it). I was able to choose the restored file pre instructions but itunes rejected it. anymore suggestions.
Thanks

Select one with the title "iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77". Hope this is what you asked mate.

When the file is read by quickqwn install, this is not an option to pick!
Where can I find this file?

Thanks

Can't you use PwnageTool as you've mac? Coz I am sure it will work straight up with PwnageTool.

thats what I used, there are three restore files that come up with the folder that is supposed to have iphone1,2 2.2 5g77 restore.ipsw. None these files are the some and when I use one and pwnagetool creates a new restore file, it is not the one above?

I am getting a bit confused here now..are you saying PwnageTool is creating the custom IPSW now? If so then you're done. All you've to do now is to run iTunes and follow the rest of the restore procedure.

Let me know if I've got it wrong.
