How to Create an App Store Account Without a Credit Card

OK, this is nice and simple and more importantly very straight forward. Please follow the steps carefully and you'll be able to create an App Store account without a Credit Card.

Please note: you'll need the latest version of iTunes to do this.

1. Fist go to the bottom of your iTunes and select your country. Say Australia.
   
2. Then go back to the top of the page and select App Store
   
3. Now click on any FREE App to go the the apps page
   
4. Once you're on the Apps page, click "Get App" which will open up a pop up window
   
5. Click on "Create New Account" on the pop up window
   
6. Click Continue on the next page
   
7. Agree to Terms & Conditions and click Continue
   
8. Fill up your details here and click Continue
   
9. After this you'll come to the payment page where you'll to fill out the required name and address fields and select Payment Method. Select None for the payment method and click Continue
   
10. You’ll then see a screen that says ‘Verify your Account’. Click Done and then check your email for a verification email from “iTunes Store”
11. Open the mail, and click on the phobos link enclosed in the email to activate your account
    
12. Once you click on the link, iTunes should then prompt you to sign in with your account name and password
13. You’ll then see a “Congratulations” screen. Click Done to be taken to the App Store home page
    

This should just do it. If it doesn't seem to work for you then follow the steps very carefully once again. I haven't re-invented these steps, I just followed them as I've explained above.
